Several Muslim organizations, including DMK, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, AIMPLB, and Samastha Kerala Jamiathul Ulema, have filed petitions in the Supreme Court challenging the constitutional validity of the Waqf (Amendment) Act. The main objections are to the removal of the ‘waqf by user’ provision and the alleged exclusion of Muslims from waqf management, citing violations of fundamental rights and religious freedom. The petitions claim that these changes in the law threaten the rights of Muslims and their ability to manage and protect waqf properties.
