Delhi faces first heatwave of 2025: Temperatures soar above 40° C

Delhi faced its first heatwave of the season, reaching temperatures as high as 40.2 degrees Celsius, leading to an IMD yellow alert for the next two days. Safdarjung, Ridge, and Ayanagar stations reported heatwave conditions, with a temperature decrease expected post April 10 due to a western disturbance. Despite the heat, the city’s Air Quality Index remained ‘poor.’
