Africa: WHO Brings Countries Together To Test Collective Pandemic Response

WHO conducted Exercise Polaris, testing the Global Health Emergency Corps to enhance global coordination for health emergencies. More than 15 countries and 20 agencies participated in the simulation of a fictional virus outbreak, highlighting the importance of countries leading responses with support from partners like WHO. The exercise emphasized the need for trust, cooperation, and preparedness on a global scale, showcasing the effectiveness of collaborative efforts in emergency response.
