The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, leading Hungary to announce its withdrawal from the ICC and refusal to respect the ruling. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, a strong ally of Netanyahu, stated that Hungary would not comply with the warrant, calling it “brazen and unacceptable.” The ICC accused Netanyahu of war crimes in Gaza, amidst ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, with Israel rejecting the charges as politically motivated.
