In March 2025, GST collections in India reached Rs 1.96 lakh crore, showing a 9.9% year-on-year increase and indicating a strong economic growth trend. Central GST collections were at Rs 38,100 crore, state GST at Rs 49,900 crore, integrated GST at Rs 95,900 crore, and GST cess at Rs 12,300 crore, reflecting wide participation in the GST system. Various states, including Gujarat, saw double-digit growth in collections, while improvements in refund processing and overall tax administration efficiency were evident, showcasing a positive trajectory for India’s taxation system.
