Midwest and South brace for life-threatening flash flooding, hail and tornadoes

Severe thunderstorms, hail, and tornadoes hit the Midwest and South, causing seven deaths and widespread damage. Another round of storms, including life-threatening flash flooding, is forecast for the region, affecting 70 million people from central Michigan to northern Texas. Over 300,000 utility customers are without power in the Midwest, with heavy rainfall expected in the West and snow showers in South Lake Tahoe.
