How to get a NIE in Spain

If you’re moving to Spain or buying a property, you’ll need an NIE, a Foreigner Identification Number, to conduct financial transactions. EU citizens get it with their green residency certificate, while non-EU citizens must apply before getting their TIE. To apply, fill out form EX-15, state your motive, and bring your passport, visa, and proof of need to your appointment.
