A 7.1 magnitude earthquake near Tonga led to a tsunami warning for the Pacific island country, with the epicenter located 100 kilometers northeast of the main island. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued an alert for coasts within 300 kilometers, but no immediate reports of damage were received.
