Palestinians in the Gaza Strip observed Eid al-Fitr amidst food shortages and ongoing Israeli bombardment, with at least 20 Palestinians, mostly women and children, killed. The Muslim festival, meant for joyous gatherings, was overshadowed by the struggle for survival in Gaza, where two million residents face immense challenges. Despite efforts by Arab mediators to restore a ceasefire, the situation remains dire as Israel’s attacks have claimed the lives of hundreds of Palestinian civilians and blocked humanitarian aid for weeks.
