In a twin offensive against Left-wing extremism in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, security forces killed 18 Maoists, including eleven women, one of whom was Kudhdhami Jagdish, a special zone committee member with a reward of ₹25 lakh on his head. Two security personnel sustained minor injuries during the operation, which was initiated after Maoists fired on the forces during an area domination exercise. The recovered arms and ammunition included AK-47s, SLRs, INSAS rifles, and rocket launchers, marking another blow against Naxalism as per Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement.
