This Bates alum is running ‘to stand against senseless violence’

Olivia Seline, a 23-year-old from Waltham, is running the 2025 Boston Marathon for the Lingzi Foundation in honor of Lu Lingzi, a graduate student who tragically passed away in the 2013 Boston Marathon attack. Despite never having run a race before, Olivia was inspired to take action and join Team Lingzi to contribute to the positive impact and ethos of the Foundation. Her journey of fundraising, training, and uniting with a community of athletes has given deeper meaning to her participation in the marathon.
