Trump reiterates US must ‘have’ Greenland ahead of JD Vance visit

President Trump has reiterated his desire for the US to acquire Greenland for national security reasons, refusing to rule out the use of military force. Despite Greenland’s desire for eventual independence from Denmark, 85% of its population opposes US rule. Vice President Vance’s controversial visit to Greenland has been adjusted following backlash, with the Vances now set to visit a US military base instead of attending a dogsled race.
