Sudan's army recapture presidential palace in Khartoum

Sudan’s army has regained control of the presidential Palace in Khartoum after intense fighting with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, marking the first time since the start of the war almost two years ago. The conflict has led to the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, with heavy gunfire and airstrikes reported in the area as the army continues to advance through the capital previously dominated by the RSF. The RSF head, Mohammed Hamdan Dagolo, had urged his fighters not to retreat from the palace, but the army successfully took over and is making progress in the city.
