The Royal College of Surgeons suggests that 90% of chronic fatigue syndrome cases go undiagnosed, leading to confusion between normal fatigue and CFS. GP Dr Milli Raizada advises seeking medical attention for persistent fatigue lasting more than six months, as well as symptoms like post-exertional malaise, cognitive difficulties, and un-refreshing sleep, while also being aware of red flag symptoms that require urgent attention, such as unexplained weight loss or abnormal bleeding.
