The co-owners of the Stena Immaculate oil tanker praised the crew’s “exceptional bravery” following a collision with the Solong cargo ship in the North Sea. One crew member from the Solong is missing and presumed dead, while the Russian captain has been charged with gross negligence manslaughter. HM Coastguard continues to remove plastic pellets washed up on beaches, with salvage operations ongoing for both vessels.
