Kabin Crew brings a spark to Cork while Limerick aims to become ‘more fun’ – The Irish Times

Cork: The Kabin Crew, a group of young performers, including Lisdoonvarna Crew, who collaborated on the viral hit song The Spark, were grand marshals of Cork city’s St Patrick’s Day parade. Led by music producer Garry McCarthy, the group showcased their talent in the parade themed Building a Better World, alongside 3,500 participants and performance groups. In Limerick, 70,000 people enjoyed a diverse parade, with Paralympic swimmer Róisín Ní Ríain as grand marshal, while Tullamore celebrated Culture and Heritage with Olympic Rugby 7s player Jordan Conroy and diverse community groups. Galway saw 40,000 spectators gather for their parade, led by traditional musician Sharon Shannon, with a strong maritime theme and representation of the city’s diverse population.
