The final full moon of spring, the strawberry moon, will occur overnight on Tuesday, June 10, peaking at 12:44 a.m. PT on June 11, and will be the lowest full moon in nearly 20 years due to a major lunar standstill. While most of Southern California will have clear skies, some coastal areas, including Los Angeles, may experience cloudy conditions, potentially obscuring the view. Named for the ripening of June-bearing strawberries, the strawberry moon may appear colorful as its light passes through the Earth’s atmosphere.
