Texas Tech softball team is already preparing for its next national championship bid after returning from the Women’s College World Series.
Ohio State transfer Jasmyn Burns, a first team All-American catcher, announced her commitment to the Red Raiders, adding significant offensive strength to the team with a .455 batting average, 25 home runs, 14 doubles, and 72 RBI during the 2025 season.
Head coach Gerry Glasco noted the need for additional pitching support alongside the returning NFCA and Big 12 pitcher of the year, NiJaree Canady, while Burns will be a junior in the 2026 season with two years of eligibility left.
