Yealimi Noh is tied for the first-round lead at the 80th U.S. Women’s Open with a 4-under 68, using a broomstick putter to overcome her struggles with the yips. Noh, who won her first LPGA title at the Founders Cup in February, now ranks 30th in putts per GIR after previously ranking 130th and 102nd in the past two years. As she enjoys her time in Wisconsin, Noh reflects on her journey, noting that fellow players are increasingly interested in trying her long putter, which may gain popularity if she secures a victory this week.
