Alabama guard Zaay Green selected in third round of 2025 WNBA draft

Alabama Crimson Tide guard Zaay Green was selected as the No. 32 overall pick in the third round of the 2025 WNBA draft by the Washington Mystics, making her the third Alabama player chosen that night, following teammates Sarah Ashlee Barker at No. 9 and Aaliyah Nye at No. 13. Green, who transferred to Alabama from Arkansas-Pine Bluff before the 2024-25 season, had an impressive season, averaging 15.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game, while shooting 46.7% from the field and 36.1% from three-point range.
