Western Michigan Broncos secured their first national title in NCAA hockey history with a decisive 6-2 victory over Boston University at the Enterprise Center. Cole Crusberg-Roseen scored to give the Broncos a 2-1 lead in the first period, and despite BU’s attempts to come back, late goals from Iiro Hakkarainen and Owen Michaels sealed the win. Coach Pat Ferschweiler praised his team’s belief and camaraderie throughout the season as they concluded with ten consecutive victories.
