A displaced woman in emergency housing faced a horrific assault when she opened her door to a rapist instead of a friend. Semisi Tuivai, 20, was recently sentenced in the Whangārei District Court after pleading guilty to two charges of rape and one charge of unlawful sexual connection, surprising his lawyers by changing his plea shortly after a jury was empanelled.
