Hawke’s Bay bach owner requests council assistance to relocate from landslide risk zone

A resident of the Clifton Motor Camp in Hawke’s Bay, which was abruptly closed due to landslide risks, expressed financial inability to remove his cherished bach from the site. The camp was evacuated on short notice following a geotechnical report indicating a high risk of landslides affecting much of the campground. The local council has not committed to necessary safety improvements, stating future management will likely fall under a reserve management plan.
