Thai Meth Importer Agrees to Forfeit $20,000 Seized in 2007

Twenty thousand dollars seized during a drug raid 18 years ago has been sitting in a police trust fund since 2007 due to an oversight. The police have obtained a court order to rectify this issue, which required them to locate the woman from whom the money was confiscated. Piyaporn Paetmuangjan, who was 32 at the time, had served a six-year sentence for importing methamphetamine. She has since returned to Thailand after her incarceration.
