The City of Ottawa confirmed that Iain Aspenlieder, accused of vandalizing the National Holocaust Memorial with red paint, has been fired while on leave at the time of the incident. Charged with mischief to a war monument and harassment, he is scheduled for a bail hearing on July 2, as the police investigation continues into the act that defaced the monument, which commemorates six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
