Customs officials seized over 25kg of illicit drugs at Auckland Airport, including 23kg of methamphetamine and cocaine from unaccompanied bags on a flight from Honolulu. A 57-year-old man was arrested for trying to smuggle 1.9kg of methamphetamine in a suitcase. The airport authorities successfully intercepted the two separate smuggling attempts, preventing the entry of the drugs into the country.
