31 Maoists, 2 Indian soldiers killed in gunfight in central India

At least 31 Maoist rebels and two Indian commandos were killed in a gunfight in central India, with security forces intensifying efforts to suppress the insurgency that has claimed over 10,000 lives. Senior police officer Sundarraj P. confirmed the death toll and mentioned that additional forces have been deployed to the encounter site, with search operations ongoing. Police recovered automatic weapons and grenade launchers from the scene, indicating the intensity of the clash.
