Twenty-seven Palestinians were reportedly killed by Israeli gunfire while waiting for aid distribution in Rafah, Gaza, with over 90 others injured, as claimed by the Hamas-run health ministry. The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) stated they fired warning shots after perceiving a threat from a crowd moving towards them, which the Gaza media office condemned as a “massacre.” The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, backed by the U.S., has been criticized for potentially endangering civilians and is under scrutiny for its aid distribution methods amidst ongoing tensions in the region.
