UN Security Council sanctions four RSF leaders in Sudan

The UN Security Council has added four senior commanders from Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to its sanctions list, following a proposal from the United States, United Kingdom, and France. The sanctions, which include travel bans and asset freezes, target Abdul Rahim Hamdan Dagalo and three other RSF leaders due to their involvement in human rights abuses. This action intensifies international pressure on the RSF amid a conflict that has displaced millions and led to a humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
