The Lebanese army reported that Israeli fire targeted a new monitoring post along the southern border, violating a November 2024 ceasefire. The army stated that while personnel were setting up the post near Sarda, they came under fire from Israel, which deployed drones and issued threats to withdraw. In response, the Lebanese military reinforced the area and is coordinating with the ceasefire oversight committee and UNIFIL. The Israeli army confirmed firing warning shots at the Lebanese troops for establishing the post without coordination.
