Sudan’s Sovereignty Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan met with Egypt’s intelligence chief Hassan Rashad in Port Sudan to discuss counterterrorism cooperation and Red Sea security. The talks included enhancing bilateral relations and humanitarian arrangements for aid delivery in Sudan, which has faced severe conflict since April 2023 between the army and paramilitary forces, resulting in a significant humanitarian crisis. Rashad conveyed greetings from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during the meeting.
