German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will not attend the signing ceremony for US President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” initiative, as he will leave the World Economic Forum after his Thursday morning address to attend preliminary talks in Brussels. Denmark and Greenland have firmly rejected any proposals to sell the island, asserting Danish sovereignty.
