Turkiye dispatched its sixth “Goodness Ship” from Mersin to Sudan, delivering 2,600 tons of humanitarian aid amid the ongoing conflict. Coordinated by the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), this shipment includes food, medical supplies, and shelter materials, following previous deliveries of 5,500 tons and 30,000 tents. Sudan has been embroiled in conflict since April 2023, causing widespread displacement and a deepening humanitarian crisis. AFAD also noted continued humanitarian assistance to Gaza, with a 20th aid ship set to depart next week.
