The 2026 Winter Olympics, co-hosted by Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, will feature approximately 2,916 athletes from 92 National Olympic Committees competing across 116 events and 16 disciplines. This marks Italy’s third time hosting the Winter Games, covering nearly 8,500 square miles with 13 venues, primarily utilizing existing facilities to minimize environmental impact.
