Libya’s Presidency Council honors army chief and aides killed in crash

The head of Libya’s Presidency Council, Mohamed Menfi, expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of Army Chief of Staff Mohammed al-Haddad and four senior military officials, who died in a plane crash near Ankara. Menfi described their loss as a significant blow to the Libyan military and the nation, highlighting their dedication and integrity in service. He extended condolences to the victims’ families and the armed forces. The wreckage of the Falcon 50 jet was located south of Haymana, Turkey.
