Amnesty urges halt to German ship transporting arms to Israel
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Amnesty International has urged governments to prevent the German-owned cargo ship Holger G, carrying 440 tons of military components, from docking in Israel, citing the risk of contributing to genocide and serious international law violations. The ship, on its way to Haifa, is reportedly transporting materials for Israeli defense companies, including Elbit Systems. Amnesty called for a comprehensive arms embargo against Israel and accountability for nations facilitating these transfers. The organization emphasized that continued arms support risks complicity in war crimes amidst ongoing violence in Gaza.
