Ahmed al Ahmed, a 43-year-old Sydney local and fruit shop owner, intervened during a shooting attack at Bondi Beach, disarming one of the suspects and saving many lives. He was shot twice in the process and is currently hospitalized, awaiting surgery. The attack resulted in 11 deaths and 29 injuries, prompting condemnation from Australia’s Muslim community.
