On the anniversary of the Dec. 8 Revolution, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan commended the resilience of Syrians despite challenges faced over the past year. He acknowledged the sacrifices made for liberation from tyranny and expressed condolences for those lost to regime and terrorist attacks. Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to support Syria’s territorial integrity and foster social peace. Following the flight of Bashar al-Assad to Russia last December, a new transitional administration was established in Syria.
