A group of European Parliament lawmakers has urged the EU’s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, to act against what they describe as genocide against the Palestinian people, following a December 3 event titled “EU: End Your Complicity in the Genocide Against the Palestinian People.” The letter calls for suspending the EU–Israel Association Agreement, enforcing a comprehensive arms embargo, and respecting decisions of the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. Since October 2023, over 70,000 people have been killed in Gaza, primarily women and children. The lawmakers emphasize the need for Europe to cease its complicity in the ongoing conflict.
