Rescuers cite equipment shortages in Gaza recovery efforts
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Gaza has reported a critical shortage of heavy equipment hindering the retrieval of thousands of bodies trapped under rubble from Israeli assaults. Operating under dire conditions, PRCS noted that over 9,000 individuals remain buried, contributing to a total death toll of 70,112, predominantly women and children, since October 2023. With recovery efforts significantly delayed due to the lack of machinery, families are left in anguish over missing loved ones. Since the recent ceasefire on October 11, 356 Palestinians have been killed, emphasizing the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
