Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation with Iran in trade, energy, and regional security during a media briefing in Tehran. He highlighted the need for improved border efficiency and logistics, while also addressing irregular migration from Afghanistan. Both ministers expressed concerns over Israel’s role in regional stability and agreed to convene the ninth Turkiye-Iran High-Level Cooperation Council meeting soon. Fidan reaffirmed Turkey’s support for Iran amid ongoing nuclear negotiations and called for the lifting of sanctions.
