Palestinian Foreign Minister Varsine Agapekian Shahin warned that Israel’s continued withholding of tax revenues could lead to the collapse of the Palestinian Authority (PA), jeopardizing public services and increasing instability. During a meeting with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos at the Manama Dialogue 2025 in Bahrain, she highlighted that Israel has deducted about $3 billion in tax revenues since 2019. Shahin urged the international community to support the PA to prevent further deterioration in the West Bank and Gaza, framing Israel’s actions as part of a long history of occupation and oppression.
