The remains of three individuals handed over by Hamas to Israel via the International Committee of the Red Cross do not belong to any Israeli hostages, according to local media reports. The Red Cross transferred the remains for examination, while Hamas has previously released 20 Israeli captives and the remains of 19 out of 28. Israel has linked further negotiations for hostage releases to the handover of all remains, amidst ongoing violence resulting in significant casualties in Gaza. The first phase of the ceasefire agreement involves exchanges between Israel and Hamas, including rebuilding efforts for Gaza.
