The foreign ministers of the UK, Germany, and Jordan have called for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan due to escalating atrocities in Darfur, particularly by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). At a security summit in Manama, they condemned the violence, including mass executions and sexual violence, with reports indicating over 450 civilian deaths. They emphasized the urgent need for international attention to the humanitarian crisis, which has resulted in approximately 20,000 fatalities and 15 million displaced since April 2023.
