Lebanese President Joseph Aoun commanded the army to counter Israeli incursions in the south, following an Israeli raid that killed a public officer in Blida. Aoun condemned the attack as part of ongoing Israeli aggression and emphasized the need for the ceasefire oversight committee to enforce the November ceasefire agreement. Hezbollah praised Aoun’s order and called for a political plan to protect Lebanese interests. Despite a ceasefire established in November 2024, Israeli military presence continues in southern Lebanon.
