Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir threatened that his far-right Otzma Yehudit party will withdraw support for coalition legislation unless a death penalty bill for Palestinian prisoners is advanced within three weeks, criticizing Prime Minister Netanyahu for delaying the legislation. Ben-Gvir also called for intensified military action against Hamas, asserting that the current conflict is a “war of revival” aimed at annihilating the group.
