The Palestinian Embassy in Cairo announced the reopening of the Rafah border crossing on Monday for Palestinians in Egypt wishing to return to Gaza, which has been blocked by Israel since May 2024. This comes amid a ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, resulting in the exchange of hostages and prisoners, following a conflict that has resulted in over 68,000 deaths in Gaza since October 2023.
