Israel Detains Gaza Nurse and Restricts Lawyer Access

The Addameer Association for Human Rights reported that 23-year-old nurse Tasneem Marwan Shafiq Al-Hums has been detained in Ashkelon Prison since last week, following her arrest in Khan Yunis, Gaza. Despite her family’s efforts to seek legal representation, Israeli authorities have prohibited her from meeting with her lawyer until October 16, and her detention was extended by 45 days after a court appearance.
