At least 18 people drowned and nine were injured, including two critically, when a passenger bus fell into the Oued El Harrach river in central Algiers, according to Algeria’s Civil Protection Service. Emergency responders mobilized 25 ambulances, 16 divers, and 4 boats to assist, while footage on social media captured the bus submerging and citizens trying to help the victims.
