The US State Department, led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, has revoked the Foreign Terrorist Organization designation of al-Nusrah Front (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham), effective immediately upon publication. This follows significant developments in Syria, including President Ahmad al-Sharaa’s leadership and US President Trump’s recent moves to lift sanctions and engage with Syrian officials.
